Hailsham Workshop and Service

Sussex Harmony are leading a workshop of West Gallery Music for  singers and instrumentalists in Hailsham Parish Church (HPC) St  Mary’s, Vicarage Road, Hailsham BN27 1BL on Sunday 22nd May.

The  workshop will start at 2. 30pm  or you can just come along to listen!  Music will be supplied and there will be a break for light refreshments at 5.30 pm.  You will learn the hymns and anthems that were performed in Sussex churches in the 18th  and 19th centuries; it’s great fun and quite easy to learn.

Those  taking part in the workshop may, if they wish, perform the music as part of a  traditional Trinity Sunday service starting at 6.30 pm.

If you are a  member of HPC and wish to take part, please let Chris Taylor know by Wednesday 11th May at the latest; otherwise contact Paula Nicholson on  01435 830934 or paula.nicholson@onelbc.org.uk

If you are an instrumentalist let either of them know what  instrument you will be playing as we may have to transpose the music  for you.

A minimum donation of £5 (students £2.50) is suggested to  cover the costs of the music and refreshments.
